Frequently asked questions

Florida Contractors Manual 2021 edition or 2025 edition?

Current edition: this is the 2025 edition of the manual, the reference the exams are built on. If you are looking for the Florida Contractor’s Manual 2021 edition, it has been replaced: the 2025 edition is the up-to-date Florida contractor manual you need, on its own or as part of a bundle. There is no Florida Contractors Manual 2024 edition; 2025 is the current one.

The exam references the edition in force, so the copy you bring into this open-book exam should be the current one. Owning the edition the exam uses is the point, which is why a 2021 copy is a false saving.

1 review for Florida Contractor Manual (Florida Contractors Manual – 2025 Edition)

  1. HUMBERTO PEREIRA DA SILVA (verified owner) –

I have read this manual, and it contains all the information I will need to assume my role and handle day-to-day issues.
Unfortunately, the people who draft the questions seem intent on exhausting the candidate and preventing them from obtaining their license.
Sadly, the exam writers do not ask questions where the answers can be found by simply flipping through the manual one has already read; instead, they ask highly difficult questions where the answers are buried in the fine print or footnotes. This causes candidates to waste time on matters that would undoubtedly be handled by the firm’s hired lawyer—the person who would oversee the bureaucratic aspects of contracts and the like.
I believe the people who create these exams have absolutely no idea what a contractor’s job actually entails.

The manual itself is excellent and very well put together, but unfortunately, the people setting the questions need to get their act together regarding the exams themselves.
