Florida Building Code: Residential – Eighth Edition (2023)

Description

In short: Florida Building Code: Residential, Eighth Edition, is the residential volume of the 2023 Florida Building Code and the official Florida code book for one- and two-family homes, covering foundations and framing through roofing, plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas and energy. Residential (CRC) and Building (CBC) Contractor candidates use this Florida Building Code Residential book as an approved open-book reference during the exam. It costs $219.

The Florida Building Code: Residential, Eighth Edition (2023) is the official residential code book for Florida, and the exact reference you can bring into your contractor exam. It covers the state’s residential construction requirements end to end: foundations and framing through roofing, plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas, and energy.

Why the edition matters: the Florida Building Code is adopted statewide law and updated on a three-year cycle. The current 8th Edition (2023) took effect December 31, 2023 and aligns with the International Residential Code, so studying an older edition means studying the wrong law.

What’s inside
